Dec. Update and 'Love' Devotional!

Greetings,

We hope that you find yourselves blessed during this absolutely beautiful time of year. If you are in a difficult place this holiday season we want to encourage you. God is with you, and He makes all things work together for good in His time. Jesus tells us, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world “(John 16:33b). Take heart, dear family and friends, whatever joy or sadness you may encounter, know God’s blessings and mercies follow us always.

Twin Pierrot has written a one act romantic comedy play, “Willing Hearts,” that we hope to have up on its feet early next year. In conjunction with the play, we are developing a 31-day devotional that explores God’s word and the inspirational themes from “Willing Hearts.” We want to share a sample with you in hopes that it may enliven and encourage you.

LOVE

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18

When we think of love, we consider the affection and adoration that frequently comes in the form of words. However, your actions prove the truth of your words. The most astounding example we have of this is from God, Himself. He loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son Jesus to be crucified for us (John 3:16). He did not just tell us that He loved us; He showed us through His sacrificial act. Likewise, are we demonstrating our love for God, our families, friends and strangers through speaking or action?

Every action we do or do not make conveys the sincerity of our love. Peter told Jesus he would go with him to prison and even die for him; however, during Jesus’ final hours, Peter’s actions were completely contrary. Our Lord knew that before the rooster crowed that morning, Peter would deny Him three times. Peter was asked three times if he knew Jesus. Instead of living up to his vows, he said he didn’t even know what they were talking about (Luke 22:33-34, Luke 22:54-62). Peter’s situation was a matter of life and death; yet even the little commitments in his and our lives are just as important. Do you make plans with your friends only to break them? show up when you pledged to help? keep your vows to your husband or wife?

We can also express our love towards strangers by holding open a door, feeding the hungry, or simply smiling. God continuously gives and we should want to confirm our love back to the Lord by giving Him and His kingdom our time and provisions. We should regularly exemplify our love by keeping promises, doing what we say we will do, spending time with people, serving others and filling their needs above our own.

Awesome Update!

The Lord has proved Himself faithful once again!

Through the love and generosity of family and friends, we reached over 60% of our ‘Jim & Della’ donation drive goal by Dec. 1st! This has enabled us to buy the rights to the soundtrack and send out the DVD’s by mid-December.

From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank all of you who cheerfully gave. We are so blessed and in awe of how God made this happen!

We are continuing the Donation drive until we reach the desired goal of $2,000, which will pay for additional materials and production costs. We are almost at 100% and your contributions to our ministry will never be forgotten.

Your Failure Was Not Fatal

Have you ever tripped? Have you ever stumbled? Of course you have. Sometimes we fall and are not sure how we will get back up. We all have failed from time to time and will inevitably do it again. I’m here to tell you that despite your mistakes and temporary malfunctions; God is not through with you yet.
If your failure is not fatal God has equated your failure into your future. He already new the mistakes you would make. If those mistakes have not lead to your death you still have a purpose; there is a need for you on this earth. Jesus foretold Peter that he would deny him three times and Peter did. This was not the end of Peter. As a matter of fact it was really his beginning. God then used him to share the Gospel with all the nations.
If there is an area in your life that you seem to struggle with most often; perhaps that is the area that God wants to bless you in the most. It is conceivable that the area of most resistance is the area in your life where He wants to use you mightily. Peter went from denying the Lord to proclaiming His name boldly before thousands.
Another example is Saul, who became Paul. He persecuted the Christians. He went into their homes and dragged both men and women off to prison. It was his mission to arrest anyone who called upon the name of Jesus. But the Lord had plans for this man. “But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel” (Acts 9:15). He went from arresting those who called upon the name of Jesus to carrying the name of Jesus to all the nations and their kings.
Maybe you struggle in the area of relationships because God wants you to have one of the most amazing and impactful marriages. Maybe you struggle with drug addiction because God wants you to save others from that same snare. Maybe you had a hard childhood because God wants you to help and save children who are in abusive or bad situations.
Like both Peter and Paul we have a greater calling. We must recognize our failure and cry out for forgiveness and then tell God you are ready for your assignment.
It is time. It is time to move past the struggle and into the promise. You can do it and you must; for the sake of those you are meant to impact and change.
It is your time.
